"After a decade working inside the public school system & with my own children's educational path emerging, I realized our family needed a different choice in model and method. I was intrigued by Maria Montessori's approach to childhood learning while in graduate school and vowed that if there was an opportunity close by, my children would attend at least through the lower elementary grades. I encourage each parent to take a look at her educational legacy for themselves and consider the research on outcomes for children with a basis in this learning style. Your jaw will drop and you will be amazed.The children learn it all and in context of their development. They move, they get sunshine, they plant plants, play with chickens, cook recipes, create projects & clubs of interest, observe social graces, learn number sense & letter sounds, and so much more. They come home smiling and free; they advocate for their needs. The staff cares and is careful in their approach; still direct but with reverence to beauty of childhood. And for the first time the other night, my K and 1st grader read me the bedtime chapters of our challenge book with ease. Our child came to Bridges from another Montessori preschool out of state. We had seen the advantages of a Montessori education and we had created strong ties with our old preschool. It was going to be hard to recreate, but we knew we wanted to find our son another Montessori school. Unfortunately, there are not many certified Montessori schools near our home and despite living 45 min away from Bridges, we decided to give it a go. It has turned out to be the best decision we could have made! The intentional education and curriculum at Bridges along with their outdoor space, hands on philosophy, dedicated teachers and staff and their excellent communication is one of a kind. We have seen our child become much more independent in the little time he has been there. He comes home happy and enthusiastic every day. The teachers at Bridges are truly wonderful. They are dedicated, professional, responsive and caring. They pay attention to detail and they know our children. After seeing how well our 3 year old was doing there, we enrolled our 18 month old child in their toddler program a few months ago. It is the absolute best! She is thriving and having so much fun every day, all while learning new skills and becoming more independent. We receive daily updates and photos, which is helpful, since we do not see the school every day. Our children go on the Bridges school bus from Towson and they love riding with their other bus friends, their teacher, Miss Kris and Mr. Ryan, the driver. We are very lucky to have Bridges Montessori School in our lives.

I just have to say how much our daughter is loving her 1 day transitional class on Friday. Every day she is asking if she can go to school. I know she can't wait to go five days a week this fall. Each day she talks about what she did on Friday and asks how many more days till she can go feed the chicken, have circle time, play with friends and learn. Since she started her language skills have improved exponentially, she explains how she is feeling and what she is doing. Recently, she tested out of her Speech classes at a 4 year old level! Though I know we have a smart little girl, I have to say that Bridges has had a huge impact on her early childhood development! We absolutely love Bridges and I think we somehow become de facto sales people for you guys. I can't tell you the number of families that stop us and ask us about Bridges at her music and gym classes. We always tell them how fantastic y'all are!

I wanted to take a moment to share how grateful we are for the positive impact Bridges Montessori has had on our son since he started first grade with you. The change from public school has been remarkable! His confidence has truly sky rocketed and the whole family has noticed he’s much less angry and more settled than before. Every day, he is exhausted when I pick him up but he’s eager to tell me about what he learned and the exciting things that happened. He has learned so many life skills and responsibilities in addition to first grade academic studies. I can’t begin to tell you how awesome this school is, and how much our child has grown since beginning there in November 2022. He looks forward to school every day. He is enjoying learning more and more, and continues to find himself in different ways. Whether it’s art, math, science, or reading, our child loves exploring new things and discovering different challenges. My wife and I are so proud of him, and he is becoming more confident in his abilities. He is also developing into a great leader and good friend to others.
